Purchase of Climbing formwork accessory structure for MTENTU Bridge Project, South Africa

This is China Communication Construction Company (“CCCC”) and MECSA Construction (Pty) Ltd (“MECSA”) formed a joint-venture known as “CCCC MECSA Joint Venture”.

The JV has been awarded with the ‘Mtentu River Bridge and Associated Roads on the N2 Wild Coast Toll Road’ contract with reference: N.002-****-2023/1C’ tender (“Tender”) tendered by the South African National Roads Agency Soc Limited (“SANRAL”).

The Mtentu River Bridge and Associated Roads forms part of the N2 Wild Coast Road (N2 WCR) project, which is SANRAL's flagship project in the Eastern Cape, with a distance about 50 KM from Port Edward , 220km from Port Durban and 770 km from Johannesburg.

Based on the original hydraulic climbing formwork, some structures were adjusted and added: The main pier climbing formwork was changed from an integral type to a separated type, two layers of reinforced frame platforms were added to the climbing formwork frame, and an additional set of cantilever formwork was added.

To ensure that the newly added material functions are compatible with the original hydraulic climbing formwork, this purchase will only be made from the original climbing formwork supplier.
